program
friday
-
Depending on your flight or train, everyone will be arriving in Copenhagen at different times.
If you get to the city before 20:00, you're expected at the hotel starting from 15:00 to check in and drop your bags.
If you're arriving later, head straight to the restaurant. Either your roommate will already have checked in for you, or you'll be able to complete your check-in after dinner.
-
Meeting in the hotel lobby to head together to the restaurant with the metro.
-
What better way to kick off the weekend than gathering around a table for a proper Danish dinner? 🇩🇰
We’re taking you to a local spot where you’ll get a taste of Denmark’s culinary vibes (nope, no IKEA meatballs here -wrong country, friends 😉). Expect warm dishes, cozy vibes, and the perfect setting to meet the rest of the crew and ease into the Copenhagen magic.
Bring your appetite and your best conversation game.
Let’s get this weekend started right! ✨
Note : the restaurant is located next to the CPH train station so people arriving late can directly join the restaurant before checking-in at the hotel. -
Whether you want to explore the city after dark or call it an early night to be fresh for race day -totally your call.
If you haven’t checked in yet, we recommend heading to the hotel first before heading back out.
Whatever you choose, please be mindful of your roommate when you return. A good night's sleep can make all the difference.
saturday
-
No rush. Enjoy a good night’s sleep and take your time discovering the breakfast buffet waiting for you downstairs.
-
Join us for a shake-out run through the streets of Copenhagen, guided by local runners for a true Danish running experience.
Meet in the hotel lobby —exact timing to be announced soon.
-
We will go together to the Expo hall to pick up the bibs, visit the stands and feel the race vibe.
-
Copenhagen is full of beautiful things to see.
From the Little Mermaid sitting on her rock, to the colorful houses of Nyhavn, the vintage charm of Tivoli Gardens, the alternative vibes of Christiania, and the panoramic view from the top of Rundetårn -you've got plenty to fill your Saturday afternoon.
Find all these spots on the map below. -
Meeting in the hotel lobby to take the metro together to the restaurant.
-
Time to carb up like champions 🍝
We’ve booked you a proper pasta party to fuel your legs for race day. Nothing fancy, just quality carbs, good company, and the perfect pre-race vibes.
We’ve asked the restaurant to give us the first dinner slot, so please make sure to arrive on time –no Italian fashionably-late business this time 😉
Let’s eat, laugh, and get ready to run! 🏃♀️🔥
-
Whether you're planning to go full send on a Copenhagen bar crawl in search of race-weekend glory, or you'd rather head straight to bed for some pre-race beauty sleep -the night is yours to own. No judgment, only vibes
Just remember: what happens in CPH… usually ends up on Strava.
PS : if not done yet, it’s the last chance to charge your earbuds and your watch.
sunday
-
This is it, the d-day !
Come to the lobby to get your champion’s breakfast.
If you’re not fully comfortable with trying something new for breakfast on race day, feel free to bring your own. It’s always better to stick to what you know, especially before a big effort. No surprises = happy stomach = better run. -
Meet us in the hotel lobby for a warm-up jog together all the way to the starting line. Don’t be late -or catch up with the group on the way.
Checklist time: bib number, gels, hydration, music, and good vibes only.
Let’s do this. -
This is the moment you’ve either been dreading or dreaming of since the day you laced up for your first training run. The reward for all the effort, all the early mornings, and all the tired legs.
Take it all in -every second. The music, the cheering crowds, the funny (or lame) signs. Set your own pace, listen to your body, and enjoy the ride.
We’ll be waiting for you at the finish line to celebrate your win.
-
You did it!
No matter how long it took, whether you ran or walked, or even stopped for a bathroom break -you’ve completed a marathon! We’ll all meet up at the finish line (check your WhatsApp after the race) to celebrate and, of course, ask ourselves once again:
“Why on earth did we sign up for this crazy idea?” -
After such an intense effort, there’s a good chance your body will give you a big “f*ck you”.
So take some time to nap and recover -because the best is yet to come. -
Meet up at the hotel lobby to go together to the marathon after party.
We definitely will take the metro. -
After all those weeks of training, the early nights to be fresh for your morning runs, the parties with alcohol-free beer to dodge hangovers -all those little sacrifices...
Now it’s time to let go of the pressure (and drink it), and enjoy the rest of this weekend with this amazing crew.
-
Still standing? Craving more?
Join us for a true danish afterparty!
monday
-
Whether you're heading straight home or spending the day exploring Copenhagen, make the most of this last breakfast together.
It’s also the perfect time to compare battle scars (a.k.a. sore legs) from the marathon!
-
Check-out is at 11:00 at the latest.
If your train or flight to Brussels is later in the day, feel free to leave your luggage at the front desk and squeeze in a bit more time exploring the city before you head home.

If you need to make any changes to your registration – like your starting group, estimated finish time, or T-shirt size – you can easily do it online via your personal profile.
To access your profile, look for the confirmation email you received when you registered.
The subject line is: “Congratulations [your name]! You are running the Copenhagen Marathon 2025!”
Sender: noreply@mail.onreg.com
Click the link in that email to log into your profile and make the necessary changes. Make sure you make the necessary changes before the end of April. -
You’ll be able to collect your bib, race bag and t-shirt at the Expo Hall, just a short walk from the starting line.
We’ve scheduled a group pick-up on Saturday, so we can all head there together and keep the vibes high.
To collect your bib, make sure to bring your “Start Card” (on your phone), which will be sent to you by email about a week before the race.
Keep an eye on your inbox -and check your spam folder, just in case. -
From the hotel, it takes about 25 minutes on foot to reach the race start. It’s 2km, which is a good way to warm up.
You can also take the metro (approx. 12 minutes), but be aware: public transport might be super packed with runners and supporters.
The organization advise to arrive at least 45’ upfront departure. Plan ahead and give yourself enough time to arrive stress-free and warmed up! -
The marathon officially kicks off at 09:30.
Unlike the 20KM of Brussels, the starting times for each wave are not individually listed. So we strongly recommend that you're already in your starting zone before 09:30.
-
Each wave is marked with a letter and color, based on your estimated finish time:
sub 3h: Wave D (yellow)
3h to 3h30: Wave E (blue)
3h30 to 3h50: Wave F (purple)
3h50 to 4h10: Wave G (orange)
4h10 to 4h40: Wave H (grey)
over 4h40: Wave I (green)
You can find the full list of pacers and their target finish times on this page.
Since you registered, your race goal might have changed. We strongly recommend checking the estimated finish time you originally submitted to make sure it still matches your current objective. -
The Copenhagen Marathon has a lot going for it: a course that takes you through some of the city’s most iconic spots, plus long, straight sections where you can lock into your pace and hold your rhythm.
The 42.195 km distance is relatively flat, with just 103 meters of elevation gain spread fairly evenly across the route.
Everything’s in place, now it’s your turn to run your race.
tips & tricks

-
The metro and buses are operated by DSB. When using public transport in the city, opt for the “standard ticket”.
Each journey costs 24 DKK (around €3.20).
Alternatively, you can get a City Pass, valid for 24, 48, 72, or 96 hours. It costs 160 DKK (21€) and gives you unlimited travel across the city (including from the airport).
For more details, visit the transport website.

For many of you, this will be your first race abroad -exciting times!
Here’s a quick packing list for the weekend (don’t worry, we’re skipping the underwear and socks part):Your passport or ID card
Your watch + charger (nothing worse than seeing 4% battery on race day)
Your heart rate monitor (to track how excited you are about this race)
Your running shoes (obviously)
Your gels (the ones you’ve tested before, of course)
A soft flask or Camelbak (if that’s your thing)
A camera (for that perfect Insta post on Monday)
Your earbuds (if you plan to run with music)
Your phone charger
Your –cadence sweatshirt (or any cozy one for the evening)
If you think of anything else, feel free to share it in the WhatsApp group!
